Different doors have different processes, but a Crimsafe door usually takes up to 4 weeks. All stock gets shipped from Queensland and is then manufactured to your precise measurements at our head office and factory in Epping.
A steel designer security door has to be fully welded at our factory in Epping which gets done in the first 2 weeks then sent to our zinc coats for rust protection, after that we ship it to our powder coaters to make it the colour of your choice then after that we return it to our factory to be meshed . So as you can see it’s a bit of a process and it takes up to 6 weeks to complete , perfection takes time.
All of our doors are truly made to measure by laser and fully installed by our installation technicians and GST is also included, once we have completed a measure and quote at your home we will give you a fully inclusive price with no hidden surprises bar none.
Depending on the angle of the sun, Crimsafe acts as a very effective blind whilst still allowing you an excellent view. Whilst similar, Invisigard and Crimsaf are not the same. The biggest difference is the way in which the mesh is locked in the frames. While Invisigard uses it’s own patneted grip technique called Extreme Grip Portection (EGP) Crimsafe uses its own patented screw-clamp technology to fix the mesh in place.
Crimsafe’s clamping method transfers impact forces around the frame. This contrasts with other methods that tend to localise impacts, potentially leading to weakening of the grip over time.
To find out more about the similarities and difference to between Invisigard and Crimsafe check out our blog, Invisigard versus Crimsafe Security Doors.
While no security product is 100 per cent impenetrable, Crimsafe doors are designed to be extremely resistant to break-ins. They use heavy-duty stainless steel mesh secured with tamper-resistant screws, and are tested to withstand tremendous impact forces, making them very difficult to breach.
Both Prowler Proof and Crimsafe offer high levels of security, but Crimsafe tends to be considered the premium option that has undergone more extensive impact testing. Prowler Proof uses a chemical bonding system rather than Crimsafe’s screw-clamp method to secure the mesh.
The main differences are in the mesh securing method and available models. Crimsafe uses a patented screw-clamp system to secure the mesh, while Invisi-Gard uses an interlocking system. Crimsafe also offers multiple models with varying impact resistance ratings, while Invisi-Gard has just one standard model. Crimsafe screens are tested to withstand higher impact forces from intruders.
Crimsafe pricing can vary depending on the size. As Crimsafe mesh comes in set widths this determines the price structure.
As a general rule, pricing for a standard:
- Window Grill is $450 – $650
- Crimsafe Door is $800 – $1100
- Crimsafe Sliding Door is $1000 – $1150
- Crimsafe Porch Enclosure is $2500 – $5000
Crimsafe has 15 standard colours including 2 timber effect finishes, the 13 other standard colours are made mostly from the Dulux colorbond range.
Designer range steel doors can be powder coated to any Dulux powder coat colour of your choice , this gives you scope to be either bold or to blend. The choice is in your hands.
Crimsafe security systems provide a 10 year warranty, with the option to extend your warranty to 12 years (Crimsafe Regular) or 15 years (Crimsafe Ultimate and iQ). Terms and conditions apply.
Yes, absolutely. Dogs, cats and birds are unable to penetrate the mesh with their claws and beaks.

While an excellent visual deterrent for intruders and the tougher of the two Crimsafe offers a wider range of designs which allows for greater airflow, views and natural light than steel doors as well as blending into a home’s design.
