Yes we are a fully authorised Crimsafe Licensee with 35 years of experience. We sell the largest range of Crimsafe security doors in Australia,  including designs that are exclusive to My Security Door.

The mesh on a Crimsafe door is made from 304 Tensile-Tuff® stainless steel, designed for maximum strength and durability. It cannot be cut with a stanley knife and has passed all Australian Standards security tests.

The designer Crimsafe range is exclusive to My Security Door, engineered to restrict sightlines and offer more privacy but without compromising on airflow, beautiful looks and premium security.

There are 20 designs in the range, however we are always designing more so keep an eye out for when we add to the collection. Check out the Crimsafe Designer Range.

It’s common for people to be concerned about a security door or window blocking light or making the house feel dark. However Crimsafe’s Tensile-Tuff ® mesh is cleverly designed to reduce the glare but still let light in.

Additionally it also reduces solar heat by up to 53%, and reduces UV radiation by 62%.

Crimsafe’s patented Screw-Clamp™ system securely fastens the mesh to the frame with a vice-like grip, making it far stronger than screens that rely on plastic wedges. When impacted, the force is distributed evenly across the frame and into the building’s structure, allowing Crimsafe to withstand much greater impacts without failure.

The mesh itself is crafted from tightly woven 0.9mm 304 structural-grade stainless steel strands, providing exceptional strength and durability.

Crimsafe costs vary depending on the size of the product. Crimsafe mesh comes in standard widths which, working with other factors, determine the pricing structure. So, while we can give you a general cost (see below), it’s best to seek a quote for your specific project.

In general, Crimsafe costs are:

  • Window grilles – approximately $450 – $650
  • Doors – approximately $1000 – $1200
  • Sliding doors – approximately $1100 – $1300
  • Porch enclosures — $2500 – $5000

For additional products, or for a quote on your specific project, get in touch.

Many people ask if you can see through Crimsafe doors and windows. Crimsafe is a transparent security product designed to ensure you can still see out in normal lighting conditions. The black mesh absorbs light and can actually make it more comfortable to see out on bright days, by reducing the glare.

Crimsafe offers enhanced protection without compromising on functionality. If you’re seeking additional privacy, we also provide a wide range of privacy options to suit your needs. please contact us for advice on your specific needs.

The maximum sixe is 930mm wide x 2510mm high. We can make custom sizes if needed at an extra cost depending on size.

Unlike traditional screens, Crimsafe uses patented Screw-Clamp™ technology and Tensile-Tuff® mesh, providing exceptional durability and resistance against forced entry that exceeds Australian standards.

These screens are designed to handle Australia’s harsh conditions, offering protection against intruders, insects, UV rays, and even ember attacks in bushfire zones. They’re also corrosion-resistant, making them ideal for coastal and humid environments.

In addition to security, Crimsafe screens enhance natural airflow, maintain clear visibility, reduce noise, and contribute to better energy efficiency by regulating indoor temperatures.

Versatile and customisable, Crimsafe Security Screens can be fitted to various door and window types, including hinged, sliding, awning, and casement designs. They are child and pet-friendly, low-maintenance, and can be retrofitted to existing structures without major renovations.

Crimsafe products professionally installed by My Security Door come with a 10–15 year warranty (depending on the products you choose) and are fully tested to meet Australian standards for impact, knife shear, and forced entry resistance.

If you think your door is a perfect rectangle think again! Here at My Security Door, we have never found a perfectly square door jamb in 35 years. To provide the ultimate protection a security door must fit perfectly with its surrounds. A snug fit ensures there is less gap between the security door and the door frame, and less gap mean less opportunity to jimmy open a door. This is why at My Security Door we believe custom fitting is a necessity and we hand make every single one of our doors as parallelograms (out of a square to suit). Without doing this, the risk of breakthrough is much higher and the security of your home is decreased. So know that when you buy with My Security Door know that each and every one of our doors is made specifically for you, by local expert hands.

The actual installation of the door can be done in a day. However there are some steps we take before then, to make sure it is quick and easy.

We give you a free security assessment of your home so you fully understand what is involved. We also take a measure of the relevant doors and windows you want security installed.

When you wish to proceed, you’ll get the paperwork, pay a deposit and we’ll get to work manufacturing your doors and windows.

When they’re almost ready, our team will contact you to confirm an installation date. When they arrive to install, you make the final payment and the security features are installed to your home.

We handle everything from start to finish with our own in-house specialist technicians. All are directly employed by us and fully police-checked for your peace of mind. We don’t use contractors, and we even equip our team with vacuum cleaners to ensure your home is left spotless after installation.

Yes, security screen doors are highly effective. With solid construction and professional installation, your screen door can let the cool breeze in, and keep unwanted visitors, bugs and even UV rays out of your home.

High-quality security doors, such as Crimsafe security doors, use reinforced mesh and advanced locking systems that can withstand significant impact and forced entry attempts. However, their effectiveness depends on proper installation and choosing a reputable, licensed supplier, such as My Security Door, to ensure the door meets certified security standards.

Security doors also deter intruders, who look for easy targets. In many cases, burglars will move on to a less secure property rather than risk the time and noise involved in trying to breach a properly installed security door.

Crimsafe has developed a patented range of emergency escape windows. The Safe-S-Cape range of products is designed to let you through the window with just the touch of a button meaning you are never trapped in your home.

All of our security doors out perform the Australian standard by more than 5 times. Read more about Crimsafe performance testing.

All of our security doors are equipped with pet-proof mesh, ensuring your door stays in perfect condition even with active pets. There are several effective ways to clean your security door, from using an Enjo glove and soap and water to a toothbrush for more detailed cleaning. However, the easiest and most efficient method is to use a pressure washer. Our security doors are built to be nearly indestructible, making them easy to maintain and clean.

We’re so confident in the quality and durability of our security doors and windows, that we offer the Crimsafe manufacturer’s 10/15-year warranty on any defects. And our steel door collection comes with a 25-year structural guarantee. We are proud to manufacture security doors and windows that are built to last.

Burglars typically look for quick and easy access, and most often that means targeting the front door. That’s why a security door on your front door is one of the most effective deterrents you can have.

Intruders will attempt to kick in the door and be in and out within minutes, often taking valuables like keys, laptops, and other electronics. Without a security door at your main entry, you’re essentially leaving an open invitation. Installing a strong front security door is the first and most important step in protecting your home.

Every single one of our security doors are built to actually surpass the Australian standard by a mininmum of 5 times the compliant standard, we even have doors that are 7.5 times the required level.

Crimsafe Ultimate is Australia’s top-ranked clear security door, while steel security doors are the best choice for design and privacy. That’s why we specialise in both, offering the highest-quality security solutions in Australia.
